Kevin Oneel – Driving Home (featuring a Deeflash Remix!)

Kevin Oneel – Driving Home (featuring a Deeflash Remix!)

Last week, MK837 released Kevin Oneel’s Driving Home which featured a Deeflash remix!  Kevin Oneel brings us a sweet progressive breaks tune with tech and progressive house remixes by Dave Richards, Deeflash, and Fitzpatrick.
Driving Home is the first single off of Kevin’s Propaganda EP, released earlier this year, and Kevin has revised it for a DJ friendly extended mix. Dave Richards took the track down a tribal tech house road. I brought a tech house mix and Fitzpatrick rounds out the release with a sweet progressive house remix.

It’s gotten some great responses from DJs and looks to be a great release!  Check it out @ mk837.com!

Dave Richards – Explorer Out Now! (Deeflash Remix)

Dave Richards – Explorer Out Now! (Deeflash Remix)

Explorer by Dave Richards was released today on MK837! It features a Deeflash remix and also remixes by Kevin Oneel and Harry Hotspur.
The Original mix is a tribal tech house track that really grooves, my remix is also a tech house track that takes a darker twist on the track. Kevin Oneel pulled out a breaks remix and really rocked it. Then Harry Hotspur threw his hat in the ring and came up with a progressive house tune that would sound great in almost any set.

This is a really solid release and has been getting great responses from DJs around the world. It is currently ranked #70 on the MyPromoPool Top 100 Charts. Be sure to check it out! It’s available on most digital download stores.

Look Back at 2009

Well this year has definitely been an exciting and eventful one!  It started out with me making a decision to be much more consistent with posting podcast episodes and I have had a lot of fun recording and posting them each month!

djingatthegates

In April, I took my first trip to Harleysville, PA to DJ at The Gates.  It was a great time and I had a lot of fun meeting Chris Le and everyone else who is a part of The Gates.  Unfortunately, I made a simple mistake of forgetting to save my set after recording it that night and was unable to post it online.  I learned from that mistake and made sure to double check my recordings from then on.

June was a very big month for me.  It is the month that my EP was released online and also at the end of June is the great Cornerstone Music Festival.  2009 was my third year at Cornerstone and it was an amazing time.  There is no where else that I can have the opportunity to hang out and DJ with great DJs like Joel Armstrong, DJ Modulation, Tim Richards, Dave Richards, Daalek and Aesias Finale.  (Podcast episode / Download available)

Once I returned home and recovered from Cornerstone festival I got right back to work and released a new track, Red Eye on PWM Records.  It’s great track and I am really happy with the way it came out.  It has gotten great responses from DJs and fans and has been featured on shows like the Dance Chapel

In August, my friends at Dream In Plastic had their Grand Opening in Beacon, NY.  Dream In Plastic started as a webstore and they opened a storefront in August and to help them celebrate, I recorded a special mix for their party.   Dream In Plastic was also nice enough to stock some of my CDs to sell! (Thanks Jenn!) (Podcast episode / Download available)

In September, I was invited back to The Gates to DJ at their One Year Anniversary party.  Again it was a great night and there was even a surprise visit by Frankie Vibe and he closed out the night with an awesome Gospel House set. (Podcast episode / Download available)

Also in September, I was invited by the great members of HEAT Worship House to come up and DJ at their Psalm 119 Rave in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  We had some of the greatest hosts and so much fun meeting, hanging out, and DJing for the people there.  We fell in love with Canada and really had such a good relaxing time. (Podcast episode / Download available)

In the tail end of the year, I took some time to work in the studio some more on some new tracks that will be coming out this year.  Some of I have played in my podcast or posted on my SoundCloud page, some are still being perfected.  Keep an eye out on my website, twitter, facebook, or myspace pages for new releases because this year will be a big one!

October 2009 Update

October 2009 Update

Well a lot has happened since my last update!  I’ve been to Pennsylvania and Canada DJing for a bunch of awesome people and released two podcast episodes which were recordings from those events.  My new track, Red Eye, also came out on PWM Records last month!

The first event was The Gates’ One Year Anniversary party which was a great night filled with a lot of fun, great music and dancers.  It was my second time DJing at The Gates and it was cool to see everyone again.  I was also surprised by DJ Frankie Vibe, he showed up and closed out the night with an amazing unplanned set.  Chris Le and the rest of the crew at The Gates are great guys and if you get a chance, definitely check out one of their events.

My wife, Jessica, made featuring footage from The Gates and also my new track, Red Eye.

You can also check out my podcast episode from this month which is a recording of my sets from The Gates.

The second trip we made was to HEAT Worship House in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, which was great time!  HEAT was throwing their Psalm 119 event and had asked me to come and DJ part of the event.  We had some of the greatest hosts and so much fun meeting, hanging out, and DJing for the people there.  We fell in love with Canada and really had such a good relaxing time.

I’ve posted some video footage from Psalm 119 at HEAT Worship House.

You can also check out my second podcast episode posted this month featuring my set from Psalm 119.

Also in September, my newest release on PWM Records came out!  It is my first single on PWM Records and I’m very excited to have a track out on the major music sites.  It’s gotten some great responses from other DJs, including being played on Kevin Oneel’s “Welcome to The Weekend” show on Boost.fm and Carey Jarvis’ show and podcast “The Dance Chapel”. It is available on many DJ and MP3 download sites such as djdownload.com, 7digital, iTunes, AmazonMP3, etc…

Also coming in the next few months is my new track, Game Over, to be released on Deeplife Records.  It’s still a few months until it comes out but you can preview it on my SoundCloud page.

It’s going to be a great release with remixes from some great artists such as Dave Richards.

It’s been a busy couple of months with no signs of slowing down but I’m going to do my best to keep up to date with the podcast and news to keep everyone posted as to what’s going on.

Thanks,

Chris aka deeflash
