Yesterday marked the release of Jeremy Kadinger’s “My Name Is House” along with my remix. I enjoyed taking Jeremy’s samples and creating a dark and raw tech house track that has a bit of an 80′s acid house feel. It’s available now on all music download stores including iTunes, Beatport, and JunoDownload.
“Bro, You nailed it better than you realize. My original is a throw back to classic 80′s house and your mix has an 80′s acid house flavor to it. Love it.” – Jeremy Kadinger
My new release, “Whatevz EP”, is now out and available on all the download stores! (Beatport, iTunes, Bandcamp, JunoDownload)
I’m really excited about this release, I love every track on this EP and have been getting a lot of great responses including being charted by Kevin Oneel.
Check it out and I would love to hear what you think!
Released on April 26th, Shelby Callaway’s Take That is an electro house banger with some killer remixes by Bad Robotz, Tommie Boy, and myself. The whole release has been getting a lot of great attention and people are really digging it.
Released last week, MK837′s Family Favorites is now available on all the download stores. It features a remix of my track, Insomnia, remixed by Michael Montez where he turned it into a sweet deep tech track that I can’t get enough of. And my remix of Michael Montez’s track, Heartless World, which is my own take on his dark tech house tune, I threw my own percussion stylings into the mix.
Also on the release are some great peak hour style tracks like Netzik – Dependence (Craig Williams Remix) and Dirty Delay’s Digital Reaction.
As an added bonus, MK837 has decided to give away a mixed version of album for free and had me do the DJ mix. You can get the full mix from their Bandcamp page.
Decktonic’s Midnight with a very special Deeflash “Retro-Electro” remix is now out on MK837 and available for download on all the download stores including Beatport, JunoDownload, and iTunes. I had a lot of fun remixing this one, Decktonic already had a very upbeat feel to the track and the melody was very catchy.
Check it out and let me know what you think!
Tuesday night I was able to get my third track started. I’ve been getting some great feedback on my first two tracks that I posted in the player, so that’s very encouraging. Some of my friends said that the first track is a different sound for me but they still like it a lot. I need to work on naming my tracks also. I currently just refer to them as track 1, 2, and 3, but I don’t think that’ll work for a final album.
I’m starting to feel the pressure to get the project further along but I am not sure how much more time I’m going to get to work on it until I get back from an event I’m DJing at in Ottawa. I have a little time tonight to work on finishing up the 3rd track and then I’m hoping to find time this weekend but I still need to prepare for DJing.
I’m hoping I get some awesome inspiration after going to Ottawa and seeing some friends that I haven’t seen in a while.
So I was able to find some time over the weekend to polish up my first two tracks, I put them in the RPM player so check them out. I’m pretty happy with how they sound but I will hopefully find some time to tweak them still. I need to finish the ending of the second track.
I’ve been finding that I am actually tracking out a lot more live and leaving them that way, rather than going over parts in Ableton and tweaking them manually and I am really liking the end results. Tonight I will be trying to come up with some new stuff. I’m hoping I can maybe get another two songs started.
This month I am participating in the RPM challenge. It is a challenge hosted by The Wire Magazine where you create a full length album, 10 songs or 35 Minutes, in the month of February. It has to be in the mail postmarked by March 1st.
Last night was my first night getting to work on my RPM challenge album. I was able to get two tracks started. I found myself last night beginning to just use my standard processes for writing and about an hour into it I had that “moment” occur where you start to throw all that stuff out of the window and actually start putting down what you are feeling rather than what you think would just sound good. I think that’s the freeing part of this album project, I decided from the start that this is more of a creative artistic journey than a perfect album and that frees me from staying in the confines of my safe areas and expanding out of just doing the things that I know work.
I’m looking forward to getting some more recorded over the weekend and will keep everyone updated on the process.
Released yesterday, my remix of KriSand’s This Is The Time is now available on Beatport, iTunes, Amazon, and where ever else you might buy music. KriSand provided me with a beautiful track and it was a lot of fun to rework into a tech house remix.

Van Lazarux’s Tech House slammer, So Cute, was released today on MK837! It features remixes by Dave Richards, Michael Montez, and myself.
The release has received some great support from some great DJs like Ingo Vogelmann of FriskyRadio.
Van Lazarux has been a favorite producer of mine for a very long time, so I was really excited when I was given the chance to do a remix for him. I hope everyone enjoys the original, my remix, and Dave and Michael’s also!
