Announcing MK837!
What happens when three friends who have a common love for good deep and sometimes dark electronic music decide to start a record label? MK837.
Started by Dave Richards, and Kevin Oneel, and myself, MK837′s goal is to bring quality releases from known and yet to be known artists. What you can expect from MK837 is some of the best breaks and house music you have never heard before!

Look Back at 2009
Well this year has definitely been an exciting and eventful one! It started out with me making a decision to be much more consistent with posting podcast episodes and I have had a lot of fun recording and posting them each month!
In April, I took my first trip to Harleysville, PA to DJ at The Gates. It was a great time and I had a lot of fun meeting Chris Le and everyone else who is a part of The Gates. Unfortunately, I made a simple mistake of forgetting to save my set after recording it that night and was unable to post it online. I learned from that mistake and made sure to double check my recordings from then on.
June was a very big month for me. It is the month that my EP was released online and also at the end of June is the great Cornerstone Music Festival. 2009 was my third year at Cornerstone and it was an amazing time. There is no where else that I can have the opportunity to hang out and DJ with great DJs like Joel Armstrong, DJ Modulation, Tim Richards, Dave Richards, Daalek and Aesias Finale. Once I returned home and recovered from Cornerstone festival I got right back to work and released a new track, Red Eye on PWM Records. It’s great track and I am really happy with the way it came out. It has gotten great responses from DJs and fans and has been featured on shows like the Dance Chapel.
In August, my friends at Dream In Plastic had their Grand Opening in Beacon, NY. Dream In Plastic started as a webstore and they opened a storefront in August and to help them celebrate, I recorded a special mix for their party. In September, I was invited back to The Gates to DJ at their One Year Anniversary party. Again it was a great night and there was even a surprise visit by Frankie Vibe and he closed out the night with an awesome Gospel House set. (Podcast episode / Download available)
Also in September, I was invited by the great members of HEAT Worship House to come up and DJ at their Psalm 119 Rave in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We had some of the greatest hosts and so much fun meeting, hanging out, and DJing for the people there. We fell in love with Canada and really had such a good relaxing time. In the tail end of the year, I took some time to work in the studio some more on some new tracks that will be coming out this year. Some of I have played in my podcast or posted on my SoundCloud page, some are still being perfected. Keep an eye out on my website, twitter, facebook, or myspace pages for new releases because this year will be a big one!

Merry Christmas! This month I’m bringing you some great music including three of my own tracks. Two unreleased tracks, to come out in 2010, and a remix of my track Game Over by Dave Richards scheduled to come out on DeepLife Records in the beginning of the new year.

November 2009 Podcast
So this month’s podcast is a little late, I am sorry about that. I have been very busy working on some new music and the first of the month flew by!
This month I have a lot of great new music, including a remix from Kevin Oneel of my track Game Over, which is coming out on DeepLife Records in January. It’s a great track and I really love what Kevin did with it!

October 2009 Podcast – deeflash @ The Gates
Here is a recording of my two sets at The Gates last month, it was an awesome night hanging out with the b-boys and dancers at The Gates and seeing some great DJs, including an impromptu set from Frankie Vibe!

New Release – Red Eye
I am very excited to announce my first single release on PWM Records, Red Eye. Thanks to Carl at PWM Records, it is available on almost every music download site and is already getting a really good response from the crowds when I play it out and from other DJs.

September 19th – Psalm 119 @ Heat Worship House – Ottawa Ontario
This will be my first time DJing outside of the states! Heat Worship House is hosting a rave titled Psalm 119, I am really excited for this event and will be headlining the night alongside DJs Diepsloot, DJ Pastor Rob, and Ergne.
September 11th – The Gates – Harleysville, PA
I will be returning to The Gates this September 11th. I was last at The Gates in April and really had a blast DJing some house and electro music and watching the breakdancers and hanging out with Chris Le. This month is an All Ages event and should be a lot of fun. (more…)
August 2009 Podcast – dreaminplastic
August brings a special treat to all the podcast listeners, this is a two hour long mix that I made for Dream In Plastic‘s grand opening party.
Dream In Plastic is a web store and also has a new storefront opening in Beacon, NY on August 8th. Dream in Plastic was born in 2007 from a culmination of everything they love and shop for themselves…. vinyl art toys, art, books, lomography cameras, gadgets, unique jewelry and gift items. They always love finding amazing gifts for people and collecting art toys! Now they are excited to curate their store with a really fun selection of items for others to give as gifts and as presents to themselves as well. They hope to inspire our customers to express themselves in new ways, bring lesser known artists and creators into the spotlight, and have a fun and interesting new place to shop for some really unique items.
